故事发生在清朝乾隆年间，陈家洛（乔振宇 饰）接替了义父于万亭（刘德凯 饰）之位，成为了红花会总舵主，并意外得知了当今圣上乾隆（郑少秋 饰）的真实身世。那边厢，红花会四当家文泰来（刘乃艺 饰）和妻子骆冰（齐芳 饰）遭遇劲敌鹰爪，被困客栈，所幸得到陆菲青的帮助，陆菲青将两人藏至周仲英的家中。 然而，周仲英的儿子却在无意之中暴露了文泰来夫妇的藏身之处，导致文泰来被朝廷逮捕，红花会众人误以为周仲英出卖了文泰来，两方人马大打出手伤亡惨重。此时陈家洛风尘仆仆的赶来，一番波折总算弄清了事情的原委，洗清了周仲英的冤屈。与此同时，和亲王打起了谋权篡位的主意，使得乾隆为了保住秘密想要杀了文泰来灭口。。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs.
