《王立群读宋史》将评述宋太祖、宋太宗、宋仁宗、宋神宗、宋徽宗五位北宋皇帝的生平故事，通过五位皇帝将北宋一百六十八年的历史大事贯穿起来，力图重新再现一千年前北宋的繁华风采。。电影讲述了上海精武会方会长，因为年事已高，想在郭天和孔鹏之间挑选接班人，郭天委托铁猴子之孙铁忠帮忙护送重要名册，结果遇上铁猴子前来抢夺名册，猴拳与南派武术打得不可开交，铁忠为亲辩护，众人认为事情太过蹊跷。而此时，精武会元老们认为郭天护送不力，严重失责，并被追究起旧账。一时间，强敌在暗，敌友难分，杀机四起……。Video artist Ryosuke visits the suburb of Furano in Hokkaido, where his friend lives, in order to shoot a video.
